Course Overview

In our Facial Therapy course, you'll dive into the world of facial treatments, learning everything from skin analysis to massage and waxing techniques. This 8-week, 100-hour course is a blend of theory and hands-on practice, leading you to earn a Certificate of Competency.

As you complete the course, you'll be equipped to work as an esthetician, with a path open toward the Certified Cosmetology Professional (CCP) designation. You'll be engaged in lectures, discussions, and demonstrations, and will be assessed on both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Your success will be measured by how well you do in both practical and theoretical assessments. Get ready to start your journey in facial therapy with us!

Course Outline:

  • Understand professional grooming, hygiene, and sanitation procedures

  • Learn effective client consultations, communication, and professionalism

  • Practice draping and hygienic application procedures

  • Complete exams and demonstrations for assessment

  • Learn and practice facial procedures including skin analysis, cleansing, toning, extraction, eyebrow shaping, exfoliant application, massage, and moisturizer application

  • Introduction to waxing procedure including skin preparation, temperature testing, wax application and removal, and post-wax care

  • Supervised practice, feedback, and assessments through revisions and exams/demonstrations.
