Esthetics Foundations Program 

Our Esthetics Program provides comprehensive, hands-on training in essential beauty techniques to prepare students for a successful career in the beauty industry. The program equips students with the skills needed for waxing, nail technology, makeup foundations, and facial therapy, ensuring they meet industry standards. 

Program Overview

Whether you are interested in pursuing a full career as an esthetician or want to specialize in specific beauty treatments, this program offers flexible enrollment options. Students can complete the full 27-week full-time program or 36 week part-time program to earn a diploma or choose individual courses to develop specific skills in areas like waxing, manicures, makeup, and facials.

Courses

Our Esthetics Foundations Program is designed to provide students with the practical skills, industry-standard techniques, and professional confidence needed for a successful career in beauty. The program includes the following key courses:

  • Esthetics Foundations (40 hours): Learn the essential skills and knowledge needed for success in the beauty industry, including professional grooming, sanitation practices, and client service fundamentals.

  • Waxing (100 hours): Master the latest waxing techniques and safety procedures for various body areas, including bikini waxing and other essential services.

  • Nail Technology - Manicure (100 hours): Learn the fundamentals of nail care, manicure techniques, polish application, and proper sanitation practices.

  • Nail Technology - Pedicure (100 hours): Develop expertise in pedicure techniques, foot care, callus removal, and applying polish for a polished, professional look.

  • Makeup Foundations (100 hours): Gain comprehensive knowledge in makeup application, tailored to different skin types and face shapes, as well as makeup for various occasions.

  • Facial Therapy (100 hours): Learn skin analysis, facial treatments, and the use of professional products to deliver high-quality skincare services to clients.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have completed high school, a General Education Development (GED), or hold a BC Dogwood Diploma or at least 19 years of age at the start of the program.

Must demonstrate proficiency in English either through prior education in English at the Grade 10 level or higher or by providing proof of English language proficiency through an accepted assessment, such as an IELTS score of 5.5 or an equivalent standardized test.

Other accepted English language evaluations may include Cambridge, Canadian Language Benchmarks, CELPIP, TOEFL, Track Test (CEFR), and other equivalent tests.
